Mandatory CPD - real estate - Consumer Protection

Three CPD points from mandatory activities must be obtained each calendar year. The subject areas for these activities will address:

the latest industry compliance issues
legislative changes
work practices

A list of mandatory activities needed to complete for the current and previous three years are published on this page.

The cost of the mandatory activities are covered by Consumer Protection only for:
- participants with a current licence or registration
- attendance at mandatory activities listed below
- in the calendar year of compliance
- each activity only once
- activities relevant to the participants role eg. residential or commercial options.
You are responsible for paying the cost of completing:
- any catch-up courses
- for any additional mandatory activities completed.
If you arrive more than 30 minutes late and stay for the remainder of the activity, you:
- are only be eligible for the CPD points when you complete the activity
- must re-schedule the same activity with the same training provider to complete the part of the activity you missed
- are responsible for withdrawing or re-scheduling an activity.
Consumer Protection will only subsidise your attendance when you have completed the activity in full.
