Resident conduct rules for retirement villages

Last updated: 31 August 2026

Conduct rules set clear standards for behaviour in retirement villages.

The rules help people working and living in the village treat each other with respect.

You and your guests must:

  • treat others with respect
  • respect other people’s right to peace, comfort and privacy.
  • not harass, bully or disrupt others in the village
  • not behave in a way that puts others at risk of harm
  • follow village laws and rules covered in the Act, contract, rules and by-laws
  • make sure your guests and visitors follow the village rules while they are at the village.
