Registering for BondsOnline

BondsOnline is a fast, easy and secure way to manage residential tenancy bonds. 

You must register to use BondsOnline through MyAccount, a secure portal developed by the State Government.

To be able to use BondsOnline you must be a:

  • Licensed real estate agent or property manager
  • A person acting on behalf of a landlord organisation
  • Private landlord who owns the rental property.

Private Landlords

Private landlords who want to use BondsOnline must:

  • have your own email address
  • be an individual owner, not a company or trust
  • be the legal owner of the rental property and as registered with Landgate
  • prove ownership of the property if asked
  • not have a family member or friend register to manage the bond on your behalf. If you are not on Landgate system as an owner, you cannot manage the bond in BondsOnline
  • prove your identity with digital ID or by uploading a driver’s licence or passport
  • provide your bank account details. You do not need the tenant’s bank details for registering.

Private landlord steps to registering for BondsOnline

  1. Go to MyAccount home page and click Create a My Account. You will be asked to:
    • verify your email
    • create a password
  2. Submit a direct debit request (DDR), you will need to provide:
    • proof of ID
    • your bank details
  3. Agree to the BondsOnline terms and conditions.

You will need to wait for the Bonds team to approve your access.

Agents

  1. Complete the BondsOnline registration form for agents – user agreement and direct debit request (DDR) form
  2. Create an account via My Account by following the steps on screen
  3. Submit a scanned copy of your DDR via  BondsOnline
  4. Agree to the BondsOnline terms and conditions.

Landlord organisations

Landlord organisations are companies, partnerships, trusts or cooperatives who rent out homes. Examples include university accommodation or a family trust. 

  1. Complete the BondsOnline registration form for organisations user registration and direct debit request
  2. Create an account via My Account by following the steps on screen
  3. Submit a scanned copy of your DDR via BondsOnline
  4. Agree to the BondsOnline terms and conditions.

Managing access for multiple users

Real estate agencies and landlord organisations can authorise registered users such as agents to manage bonds on their behalf. The user must be registered first. The agency account administrators can use WA Relationship Authorisation Manager (WARAM) to manage user access to their bonds.
