The topics are selected to assist licensees to update their:
- knowledge of industry developments
- legislative changes
- work practices
New topics are added each year.
CPD activities are divided into two categories: core and elective.
The Australian Institute of Conveyancers WA (AICWA) delivers the CPD program. Please contact AICWA directly for their CPD schedule, and to make a booking.
CPD costs
Core and prescribed elective CPD activities are paid for by Consumer Protection.
You will need to cover the cost of any other approved elective activities.
Consumer Protection will not cover costs if you attend the same activity twice in the same year.
Choosing activities
You must achieve six CPD points in a calendar year made up of:
- at least four points from core activities. You must complete at least two of the core activities each year.
- two or more points from the elective activities or another core activity.
Current CPD activities
Subjects prescribed for 2025:
Core (Licensees must complete both core activities)
- Cybersecurity and fraud prevention - 2 hrs
- Dispute resolution - 2 hrs
Prescribed Electives (Licensees may choose one from the topics below)
- Trusts and Superannuation Funds - 2 hrs
- Various CPD sessions to be delivered by RevenueWA - 2 hrs each
- Transfer Duty for Deceased Estates overview
- Transfer Duty overview
- The First Homeowners Grant for professionals
- Land Tax overview
