Privacy Collection Notice for Property Industry Continuing Professional Development – Training Provider Application

The personal information you provide will be used by the Department of Local Government, Industry Regulation and Safety (LGIRS) to:

  • assess and process your application to become an approved Continuing Professional Development (CPD) trainer or provider;
  • verify your identity, qualifications, experience, and suitability to deliver CPD training under the relevant legislation administered by the Commissioner; and
  • maintain records of applications, determinations and exemptions granted for regulatory, compliance, audit, accountability and reporting purposes.

We may provide this information to:

  • relevant government agencies, statutory authorities, accrediting bodies, or other third parties where necessary to verify information, assess your application, or monitor compliance with CPD requirements, or as otherwise authorised under applicable legislation; and
  • internal staff for the purposes of assessment, decision-making, compliance monitoring, statistical analysis, and service delivery functions including communication and education.

We will not disclose personal information about you to anybody else, unless you have given consent, or we are authorised or required to do so by law. Providing us with the requested information is voluntary, but if you choose not to provide us with it, we may not be able to assess your application.
