Home buyers assistance account application form

A grant from the Home Buyers Assistance Account reimburses some of the incidental expenses incurred in connection with the purchase of a first home in Western Australia. Eligible applicants receive a grant of up to $2,000. 

Applicant Instructions

1) Complete Section A of the application, sign it and have it witnessed by an authorised person. Retain a copy for your records and note the date the form has been submitted to your lender.

2) Give the application to your lending institution with a copy of the following.

  • The signed and dated Offer and Acceptance document.
  • The Final Settlement Statement detailing the costs and expenses incurred by you in the purchase of your dwelling. 

Lodging the application 

Your lending institution will lodge the application on your behalf.

Privacy Collection Notice 

The personal information you provide will be used by the Department of Local Government, Industry Regulation and Safety (LGIRS) to:

  • assess and process applications for financial assistance under the Home Buyers Assistance Account including verifying your identity and eligibility; and 
  • maintain records of applications, payments and assistance provided, for accountability and reporting purposes.

We may provide this information to:

  • relevant government agencies, authorities, financial institutions, or other third parties where necessary to verify information, assess your application, facilitate account-related transactions, or address matters associated with your application; 
  • the Bond Administrator or any third parties to assess issues raised in the application; and
  • Internal staff for statistical purposes, and related functions including communication and education.

We will not disclose personal information about you to anybody else, unless you have given consent, or we are authorised or required to do so by law. Providing us with the requested information is voluntary, but if you choose not to provide us with it, we may not be able to assess your application.
