Motorists in Perth and Mandurah are advised to fill up now if they need to, with petrol prices set to rise tomorrow. Drivers are also urged to only purchase the fuel they need to fill their vehicles, not to stockpile.
FuelWatch reports that, from 6am tomorrow (Wednesday 6 May 2026), the average price of Perth’s regular unleaded petrol (ULP) will increase by 12 cents per litre (cpl) to 186.3 cpl with BP hiking up to 214.9 cpl; EG Ampol up to 209.9 cpl; and Ampol up to 204.9 cpl.
Despite the average hike tomorrow, there are still 31 individual sites offering ULP below 170 cpl, so consumers should check the FuelWatch website to find the lowest price near them. Buying fuel from the cheapest site rather than the most expensive, a difference of 92 cpl, means motorists can potentially save $55 on a 60-litre tank.
Tuesday’s cheapest ULP is available for:
- 165.9 cpl at 7-Eleven Brabham, 7-Eleven Middle Swan and 7-Eleven Midland in the East;
- 157.3 cpl at Burk Cannington in the South; and
- 163.3 cpl at Burk Landsdale in the North.
Wednesday’s cheapest ULP will be available for:
- 165.9 cpl at Shell High Wycombe in the East;
- 157.3 cpl at Burk Cannington in the South; and
- 163.3 cpl at Burk Landsdale in the North.
