Alert to Perth motorists - fill up now to beat the petrol price rise

Last updated: 12 August 2025

Motorists in Perth and Mandurah are advised to fill up now if they need to, with petrol prices set to rise tomorrow.

FuelWatch reports that, from 6am tomorrow (Wednesday 13 August 2025), the average price of Perth’s regular unleaded petrol (ULP) will increase by 28 cents per litre (cpl) to 188.5 cpl with Shell Reddy Express hiking up to 213.9 cpl; Ampol up to 211.9 cpl; EG Ampol, 7-Eleven and BP up to 209.9 cpl; United up to 202.9 cpl; and Vibe up to 201.7 cpl.

Despite the average hike tomorrow, there are still 23 individual sites offering ULP below 157 cpl, so consumers should check the FuelWatch website to find the lowest price near them. Buying fuel from the cheapest site rather than the most expensive, a difference of 66 cpl, means motorists can potentially save $39 on a 60-litre tank.

Tuesday’s cheapest ULP is available for:

  • 155.9 cpl at Atlas Fuel Sawyers Valley, S24 Forrestfield and S24 Sawyers Valley in the East;
  • 149.3 cpl at Burk Oakford in the South; and
  • 155.3 cpl at Burk Alkimos, Burk Bassendean, Burk Landsdale, Burk Mount Lawley and Vibe Wanneroo in the North.

Wednesday’s cheapest ULP will be available for:

  • 155.9 cpl at UGO Mundaring in the East;
  • 147.1 cpl at Burk Oakford in the South; and
  • 155.3 cpl at Burk Alkimos, Burk Bassendean, Burk Landsdale and Burk Mount Lawley in the North.
