Motorists in Perth and Mandurah are advised to fill up now if they need to, with petrol prices set to rise tomorrow. Drivers are also urged to only purchase the fuel they need to fill their vehicles, not to stockpile.
FuelWatch reports that, from 6am tomorrow (Wednesday 2 September 2026), the average price of Perth’s regular unleaded petrol (ULP) will increase by 14 cents per litre (cpl) to 210.6 cpl with BP and Caltex hiking up to 225.9 cpl, Ampol and EG Ampol up to 223.9 cpl and 7-Eleven up to 219.9 cpl.
Despite the average hike tomorrow, there are still 50 individual sites offering ULP below 192 cpl, so consumers should check the FuelWatch website to find the lowest price near them. Buying fuel from the cheapest site rather than the most expensive, a difference of 42 cpl, means motorists can potentially save $25 on a 60-litre tank.
Tuesday’s cheapest ULP is available for:
- 189.2 cpl at Metro Midvale in the East;
- 186.2 cpl at Vibe Oakford Truckstop in the South; and
- 187.5 cpl at Liberty Landsdale in the North.
Wednesday’s cheapest ULP will be available for:
- 188.9 cpl at Vibe Mt Helena and Vibe Forrestfield in the East;
- 186.7 cpl at Costco Casuarina (Costco sites are membership based) and Costco Perth Airport, and 186.9 cpl at Vibe Kwinana Town Centre in the South; and
- 187.3 cpl at Vibe Bayswater in the North.
