In March and April 2022, the Department of Energy, Mines, Industry Regulation and Safety, Consumer Protection Division (Consumer Protection) sought funeral industry and consumer feedback about a proposed Funeral Pricing Code.

Changes to MVR regulations

On Saturday 24 September 2022, three changes to the Motor Vehicle Repairers Regulations came into effect to:

• Introduce a new repair class for ‘wheel aligning, steering and suspension work’.
• Remove the ‘driveline and transmission work’ class.
• Update qualifications added to the AUR Training Package in 2020.
